About Project TEAM

Project TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) kicked off during the 2014-2015 academic year at Oak Forest, Ridge Creek, and Timbers Elementary Schools as a result of a generous grant provided by the Humble ISD Education Foundation in collaboration with additional support from Benchmark Education. The project had an over 90% participation rate as students in PreK and Kinder worked on projects with their loved ones at home that aligned with the easy readers teachers sent home for the week.

Our littlest learners at participating campuses were further rewarded with bilingual books courtesy of Infinity Insurance's Read Conmigo website that will grow with the child and their family as they continue down the path to lifelong literacy and learning in two languages. Bilingual PK and Kinder students at Lakeland Elementary are joining Project TEAM as a result of an additional $3,000 from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation. All four campuses will be kicking off another TEAM effort toward bi-literacy in early October...stay tuned!!
